JD Clayton is a songwriter from Fort Smith, Arkansas, whose full length debut record Long Way From Home was released in January of 2023. Clayton has a clear way of communicating the intricacies of life and this record is a gorgeous expression of that ability. We caught up with JD at Bonnaroo 2023. We caught up with JD in the media tent at Bonnaroo. The day before Morgan Wade and Charley Crockett were milling about. Tyler Childers walked by the spot I was working right after my conversation with JD. I have a feeling we will be talking about JD Clayton in the same breath as those folks before you know it.
